Malt Scotch What Is A Good Single Malt Scotch From Scotland?

What is a good single malt scotch from Scotland? - malt scotch

I am currently in Aberdeen, Scotland. I'm going home to the United States in December with my father, and he is a fan of single malt scotch. I am looking for a whiskey that is, malt, aged 12 to 20 years, not sherry, port, Madeira, the whiskey is finished, but by one or more oak bourbon barrels. If you have a recommendation for a good name / brand and / or distillation, which would be extremely useful. Thank you.

I went to Scotland a few weeks ago, Aberdeen was one of the few areas that do not, but I think it's pretty rare distilleries in the region. Scotland goes to my friends and I made a point to The Famous Grouse Experience go, but as the Famous Grouse Blended Scotch Whiskey, the distillery tour in their staple food, is the Glenturret Distillery. Glenturret single malt is fine, I think it has aged in oak barrels, but not 100% sure. Actually brought a bottle for my father, and she loves it. But since you are in Scotland, but go to one of the many shops of Scotch whiskey, are all very friendly and competent staff and will certainly be able to offer a few options.

Glenfiddich, which is all you need. Malt, and you can get 12, 15 and 18 years.
